The Art of Giving

An evening of wine tasting, art, music and building community
for TriCity Family Services.

On Friday, April 30th, TriCity Family Services partnered with The Wine Exchange in St.Charles, and Water Street Studios in Batavia, to host The Art of Giving wine tasting and art sale.

More than 100 people stopped into The Wine Exchange to sample wines and view a variety of art pieces from local artists of Water Street Studios.  All wine was for sale, with 20% of the proceeds going to TriCity Family Services, as well as all of the art for sale with 30% of the proceeds supporting the agency.

In all the event raised over $2,000 to help TriCity Family Services continue to provide quality counseling services to all ages and all incomes in the community.  At this time, TriCity Family Services, like many human services providers throughout Illinois, is facing severe cuts in funding resulting in the denial of critical services to thousands of the community's most vulnerable fellow citizens.

TriCity Family Services Director of Development, Miranda Barfuss, states, "The main benefit of events like this is that it helps build community when we all need it. I hope the success of an event like this encourages local businesses and local artists to partner with the local human service agencies more and more, for the success of us all."
