Successful Social Skills for Kids

What:

Superstars is a social skills group for children.  Topics covered include: making new friends, developing empathy, enhancing self-esteem, communication skills, problem solving (teasing, bullying and bossiness), and coping with transitions.  Use of experiential learning, play, and cognitive-behavioral techniques included.

   
Who: Children in grades K-5 who have moved a lot, have difficulty making or keeping friends, are bossy and controlling with their peers, have difficulty communicating with others, or anyone who could benefit from improving the quality of their friendships.
   
When:

Fall Group:  Thursdays, from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., September 18, 2008 through November 20, 2008

Cost: Program cost is 1/2 of sliding fee scale, per session
