- Conflict with parents or siblings
- Interaction problems with peers
- Disruptive behavior
- Physical or sexual abuse
- Depression or thoughts of suicide
The ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Track will help parents
assess and begin to treat ADHD in their children. In a series of 8 counseling
sessions, a TriCity Family Services Therapist, with the child and
parent(s), will
review symptoms and complete an assessment. The assessment may also include
consultation with a TriCity Family Services psychiatrist.
If a diagnosis for ADHD is made, the counseling sessions will
teach clients about ADHD, behavioral and medication interventions that may be
used, and begin to help the child and family develop the skills they need to
address ADHD. If a different diagnosis is made, recommendations for ongoing
treatment or a referral to other services will be made. At the conclusion of
the 8 sessions, additional services and referrals will be offered.
Please call to complete an intake for the ADHD Track or to
seek more information. Medicaid and most insurance is accepted and sliding fee
scale is available for those in financial need.
