 The
friends of TriCity Family Services was formed in 1997 to
establish a network of volunteers to support the agency
in a variety of ways. The Friends step forward to
fill individual client needs - baby-sitting, providing
transportation, donating household items and clothing,
and more. We also serve the agency in providing
occasional office work - answering phones, bulk mailing
tasks, providing a monthly day of appreciation for the
staff and more. In addition, The Friends
have a strong commitment to raise at least 10% of the
agency's annual budget. This goal is accomplished
with three major fund-raising events - an Annual Benefit
& Auction, the Lobster Fly-in, and a Golf &
Tennis Outing. While we have many Friends
donating valuable time and talents to ensure the success
of these fund raisers, the rising costs of providing
family services expands the financial challenge. We
ask for your help. Our
Fund-Raising Events

Annual Benefit & Auction -
held in March, this event has helped build a strong
reputation of excellence for TCFS. The casual
evening includes a buffet dinner, silent and live
auctions, raffle drawing, dancing and lots of
socializing. Be part of the fun!

Lobster Fly-in - held in
early summer, this fund raiser has many loyal
customers who plan lobster parties each year around
this event. Young and old alike enjoy stopping
by the Old Geneva Courthouse to pick up their live
or freshly steamed lobsters. Steaming is done
right on-site with an antique steam engine, and all
lobster orders include bibs, preparation
instructions, and recipes for tantalizing dipping
sauces. Bread is also available for sale.

 Golf
Outing - held in May, this event
is a fabulous way to get together with friends or
clients on the greens. The day includes lunch and
dinner and an exciting auction. A
great time filled with friends, good food and sports
fun!
Membership
The Friends of TriCity Family Services
is organized with an executive board and chairpersons
for each event. The board meets monthly and there are
two luncheon meetings in the Spring and Fall for the full
membership. Annual dues for the The Friends of TriCity Family Services are $15 - a lifetime membership
is $150.
