Simone Lamothe Ayala joined TriCity Family Services at the beginning of 2018. She earned a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University, and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Lamothe Ayala has been in the field for 10 years and has worked in a variety of settings, including residential, hospital, university, adoption agencies, private practice and community.
Lamothe Ayala enjoys working with people of all ages and particularly enjoys working with adolescents, young adults and families. She specializes in working with individuals and families dealing with grief, anxiety and depression disorders. Her approach to therapy is building a strong therapeutic relationship and encouraging clients to be active participants in their healing. She believes in listening to everyone’s story with empathy and partnering with clients to help navigate the challenges they face on their journey. Not only has she worked with diverse populations, but she also prides herself on having a multicultural outlook.
In her spare time, Lamothe Ayala enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.
