Melissa joined the TriCity Family Services staff in 2008 and facilitates our Smart Choices Kindergarten-5th Grade Program, Family Connections Program, and the International Child/Parent Development Program. She has experience working with children and adolescents who have complex mental health and behavioral issues, and includes their families in the therapy. She also has specialized training in domestic violence, sexual assault, divorce mediation, and crisis prevention.
Melissa has worked as a staff trainer for TCFS and the Kaneland school district on topics that include crisis prevention and special education issues. She also currently works as a Healthcare Case Manager for adults with significant health and mental health issues.
Melissa holds both a Masters degree in Social Work and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Type 73 certification in school social work.
