Rehna Becker was hired by TriCity Family Services in 2017 after completing a year-long internship with the agency. She has co-facilitated TriCity’s Project Self-Compassion.
Becker received her Master’s of social work from Aurora University and is a licensed social worker. She is a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) and has completed basic and advanced level EMDR training through EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Becker has been trained in Relational EMDR under Deany Laliotis, trained in Ego State Therapy under Robin Shapiro, and, in June 2019, will be completing EMDR Sand Tray Therapy. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and EMDRIA.
Becker enjoys working with people of all ages, especially individuals who have lived through traumatic experiences. Her goal is to help clients build the skills necessary to safely explore how life experiences have negatively impacted beliefs about self, relationships, and the world in general. At a comfortable pace, Becker then works in collaboration with clients to heal past wounds and develop a new narrative. Through her work, she has developed a firm belief that every person is capable of moving beyond his/her past in order to fully engage and thrive in the present.
In her spare time, Becker enjoys playing and watching sports of all kinds, yoga, reading, and being with family and friends.
