TriCity Family Services considers it essential to engage
in advocacy as well as educational and support programs
which reduce or eliminate those conditions that place
people at risk of developing emotional and/or substance
abuse problems and create those conditions which promote
good mental health and effective family functioning.
Early intervention programs are designed to arrest the development of mental health and/or substance abuse problems in their early stages before those problems begin to seriously impair functioning. At
TCFS, groups with both a therapeutic
and education emphasis are the typical early intervention modality.
