Sara Gjorgjevik is a graduate of Aurora University, where she earned a master’s in social work. A licensed social worker, Gjorgjevik started her journey with TriCity Family Services in 2018 as an intern and has continued on as a full-time clinician. Prior to that, she interned at Big Brothers Big Sisters, setting up community resources and support systems for at-risk youth and their families.
Gjorgjevik enjoys working with people of all ages, but particularly working with children and adolescents who struggle regulating their emotions. She has received training on Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders and also works with this population. Her approach to therapy is a person-centered one where she works on building a solid therapeutic relationship through empathy and where she can challenge the client to continue to better themselves in a safe environment.
