Jessica Guzman, MSW, LSW

Jessica Guzman joined TriCity Family Services in 2019 as a part-time bilingual therapist, after completing a year-long internship with the agency. Guzman holds a Master’s Degree in social work with a concentration in mental health from Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Prior to joining as an intern, Guzman also completed a year-long internship with Open Door Health Center of Illinois, an organization specializing in providing services for LGBTQIA+ folks, individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families and friends. Her internships and previous work experience as a SASS crisis worker at Family Service Association, and as a family worker at Two Rivers Head Start Agency, allowed her to meet people of all ages with diverse backgrounds and cultures, which inspired her to continue working with clients and families.

Guzman provides individual and family therapy to clients of all ages who are experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, ADHD and eating disorders. Her approach is client-centered and so she applies therapeutic interventions according to individual needs with a focus on creating change. Fluent in English and Spanish, Guzman provides therapy in both languages.
